Privacy Policy - Abuchi

Abuchi ("the App") is a flashcard application for learning Chinese. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and which third parties it is shared with.

1. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is created by you and stays on your device:

Flashcard content - cards and folders you create, stored in a local SQLite database
Study statistics - progress, streaks, session history, stored locally
App settings - preferences stored using Android SharedPreferences

This data is removed when you uninstall the App.

2. Data We Collect and Share with Third Parties

The App uses third-party advertising and analytics SDKs. These SDKs collect data from your device and transmit it to their providers. All transmission is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

These providers process data under their own privacy policies: Yandex (yandex.com/legal/confidential) and Google (policies.google.com/privacy).

3. Microphone Access

The App requests microphone permission solely to enable the pronunciation practice feature. Audio is processed entirely on-device using an offline speech-recognition engine (Vosk). No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server.

4. Google Drive Backup (Optional)

You may optionally sign in with your Google account to back up your data to your own Google Drive. The backup file is stored only in your personal Drive. Your email address is used on-device to display which account is signed in and is not transmitted to our servers. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.

5. Data Deletion

Local data is deleted when you uninstall the App. To request deletion of any data associated with you, contact us at io.abuchi@gmail.com and we will process your request.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the App uses third-party advertising and analytics SDKs, please supervise children's use accordingly.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top.
